The area was named in memory of the long serving Sakae Bus Terminal, and the idea of a new public square, or hiroba, to become HIROBAs.
Nagoya Mitsukoshi Co. Ltd. has secured the naming rights, making it MITSUKOSHI mae HIROBAs.
Hisaya Odori Park is a 100m wide, 2km long city park located in the center of Nagoya City. Nagoya City is redeveloping Hisaya Odori Park in an effort to revitalize the city center. Future redevelopment of the southern section of the park is planned, and the relocation of the central Sakae Bus Terminal has created a new space in the town center.
We intend to start a three-year limited period temporary use project from 2020 until redevelopment is fully completed.
The concept is "a place for anyone to attract and interact with customers."
We intend to promote the area as a relaxing, social area within the city center.
